Dr. Vaidehi Taman is a Maharashtra-based accredited journalist, author and independent researcher with more than two decades of experience in independent media. Her professional journey brings together journalism, literature, cybersecurity and the study of India’s intellectual and spiritual traditions. She is the Founder Editor of Afternoon Voice and The Democracy and has contributed to prominent publications, including The Times of India, The Free Press Journal and Sunday Observer.

For over twenty years, Dr. Vaidehi Taman has organised the Newsmakers Achievers Awards, an independent platform that recognises distinguished contributions across journalism, public life, arts, literature, business, medicine and social service. Among the personalities honoured through the platform are Lata Mangeshkar and Balasaheb Thackeray.

Her expertise also extends to cybersecurity and emerging technologies. She holds internationally recognised certifications, including OSCP, CEH, CPENT AI and Certified Blockchain Developer, reflecting her engagement with the field of information security and technology.

As the founder of the Vedshastra Research Foundation, Dr. Vaidehi Taman researches Vedic traditions, Yoga, Tantra, Kashmir Shaivism and India’s philosophical heritage. Her research pays particular attention to Kashmir and influential figures such as Lal Ded and Abhinavagupta.

Dr. Vaidehi Taman is the author of several books, including Lal Ded: The Mother of Kashmir, Abhinavagupta – The Voice of Eternal Shiva, Reclaiming Bharat, Vedopanishad and The Last Cradle. She has also founded Vaidehee Aesthetics and Wellness and Vedaogyam, a naturopathy research and treatment centre.
